- Relax class rules slightly so children can enjoy the game, but keep control.
- Write your questions in advance keeping in mind what you want to accomplish with the children. Incorporate as many Bible application questions as possible which helps kids apply truths to their lives.
- Try out the game ahead of time to solve potential problems.
- Be sure rules are simple and clear.
- Do not embarrass pupils. Use pairs or teams. If you have pupils who come sporadically, team them with pupils who attend regularly.
- Read the answers to questions pupils miss to reinforce the learning process.
- Emphasize cooperation rather than competition.
- Bring the game to a close while students are still enjoying playing and wanting more. About ten minutes is normally enough.
- Rotate games so they will stay new and fresh. Use one for a few weeks and then put it away for a period of time. When you use it again, the pupils will respond with enthusiasm.
- Be creative and always be looking for new game ideas.
