What we are doing week after week after week in Bible memorization is sequencing — putting words in the right order. The key to teaching memory verses to boys and girls is found in the word “variety”. Be creative and use many ways to teach pupils the Word of God.

One idea is the Echo Game. Write the verse on your white board or a large sheet of paper so everyone can read it together three times.  Then the teacher says the verse and the class echoes.  The teacher says the verse and all children who have blue eyes echo.  The teacher says and all kids who have pets echo.  Continue with various ideas until the verse has been echoed ten times.
