CHILDREN CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE – Caring

Theme: Caring

Sweat was pouring from Jesus’ forehead because He had been out in the hot sun teaching and healing. Some people brought their children to Jesus, so He could place His hands on them and pray for them.

Jesus’ disciples said to the moms and dads: “Stop bothering Jesus.”

Jesus responded: “Let the children come to me! Don’t try to stop them.” Jesus took the children in his arms and blessed them by placing his hands on them. Then He talked about how they were EXAMPLES of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Children are important in God’s family and can make a difference! It even says in the Bible in Isaiah 11:6, “A child will lead them.”

Discussion Questions:

1. The Bible says in Mark 16:15, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel.” How can kids do that? (Give money for missions; pray every day for kids in the 1040 Window –

2. The Bible also says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young” (1 Timothy 4:12, NIV). What do those words mean?

3. What are specific ways children can lead others and make a difference by caring?
