TURKEY-FEATHER PULL Bible Verse Memorization Activity

BIBLE VERSE: “Give thanks to Him and praise His name” (Psalm 100:4b)

MATERIALS NEEDED: Poster board, construction paper, markers, scissors, envelope, masking tape.

DIRECTIONS:

1. Draw a large turkey on the poster board.

2. Cut slits at the top of the turkey as shown.

3. Cut feathers from construction paper.

4. Write one word from the verse on each feather.

5. Let children take turns placing the feathers in the slits in correct order.

6. Ask children to remove one feather t a time, reciting the verse each time a feather is removed.

7. Tape envelope to the back of the turkey to store feathers.
