Warrior of My Worries

The warrior of my worries
Defends against my foe,
Creating an oasis of peace
In the midst of pain and woe.

When the darkness of my fears o’erwhelms
And the floods of doubt assail,
God’s Word affirms He’s there with me
And by faith I will prevail.

He calms the storm says, “Peace, be still!”
He the raging winds control,
Raining down His peace on me
Bringing calmness to my soul.

My Mighty Warrior bears His sword,
The power of His Word,
Silencing all my fear and worry
As His command, “Be still!” is heard

When in the sea of worry I sail
And storm-tossed waves surround,
With the Warrior of my worries on board,
God’s peace will there abound.
